The Balyan family is the most famous contractor family of the period. The purpose of the construction of the palace was to be a place of the Sultans ' patrol and to welcome foreign dignitaries (e.g., the French Emperor III. Napoleon's wife is Eugénie, and German Emperor II. Wilhelm). Beylerbeyi Palace, located in the Beylerbeyi District, which preserves its historical texture and features, sees two separate places. Beykoz can be seen from one part of the palace, while Üsküdar can be seen from another part. The Beylerbeyi District and Palace, which preserve all its splendor and history like the first day, are thus preferred quite a lot on private tours.

Beylerbeyi Palace hosted many different cultures in different buildings before it became its present one. In the Byzantine Period, it was called “Istavroz Garden” until the beginning of the 19. century, and in this state, it was also used by the Ottoman Sultans as a “Has Garden”. By 1829, the Ottoman Sultan II. Mahmud added a wooden coastal palace to the region. Thus, with II. Mahmud's touch, the building became a palace for the first time. In the following periods, the need arose to rebuild the palace, which was known to have been severely damaged by a serious fire, and it was rebuilt by Sultan Abdulaziz. At the same time, additional sections were made to the palace, and thus the palace was rebuilt on an area of 3000 square meters. While the palace was being rebuilt, both Ottoman architecture and Western architecture were used. Thus, when you look from the outside when the West, looks from the inside you can see Ottoman traces. The palace bears the traces of different cultures and admires itself.
